Founder, Rachel Karpanty-Yantis began crafting her own cards as a kid inspired by frequent trips to art and office supply shops with her mom.

She grew up to have a bit of addiction to stationery, spending a majority of her discretionary income on cute cards and fun stationery. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hope College (communication) and her Master of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (communication) and went on to teach communication courses (public speaking, group communication, career development) at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, DePaul University and The Illinois Institute of Art (Chicago & Schaumburg campuses).

With a desire for a balanced life, a dream of owning a small business and a passion for stationery, Paper Girl was born in 2000. We have evolved over the years from making personalized stationery to creating custom invitations and announcements for a variety of events, mostly weddings. In the fall of 2008, we will make another transition, as we rebrand Paper Girl and exclusively sell personalized stationery through our website. Stay tuned for new designs!
